Suspect In Fort Worth Standoff In Custody

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A suspected shooter that triggered a standoff with Fort Worth police this afternoon is in custody.
The standoff took place near the Stockyards on the 2200 block of Clinton Ave., after a shooting that sent one person to the hospital.
The initial call a came in at 3:11 p.m., when police were told a person was shot at another location. The victim was transported to a hospital, and their condition is unknown at this time.
The suspected shooter then barricaded himself inside a home. Police evacuated the residents.
The FWPD SWAT team on scene fired tear gas into the home, and surrounded it. A fire sparked in the house, and caused minor damages to the structure.
The barricaded man was not injured and is custody. He has been charged with aggravated assault.
