Suspect In Christina Morris Case Charged With Sex Assault Of A Child

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Enrique Arochi, the primary suspect in the disappearance of a Fort Worth woman, is facing new charges. Arochi has been charged with sexual assault of a child. A spokesperson for Arochi says he had no idea he was accused of being a child predator until he saw our report on CBS 11 News. Allen Police, investigated the case and filed the charges, but are not releasing an details about the case.
Arochi is already charged with aggravated kidnapping charges following Christina Morris' disappearance. Morris was last seen with Arochi as the two walked to a Plano parking garage at The Shops at Legacy in August last August. Detectives believe that Morris was inside of Arochi's vehicle when it left the parking garage, although Arochi denied that Morris had ever been in his car.
The new charges surprised the mother of Christina Morris, Jonni McElroy, who learned about them just as she began her nightly silent protest outside Arochi's Allen home.
"Pretty sick, sick to my stomach," described McElroy. "Heard about it when I was driving my car I wanted to pull over and pretty much just throw up," she said.
"I personally knew that Enrique obviously had a past prior to this, so I envisioned him as a sick individual."

Arochi has been in the Collin County Jail since December. Plano Police claim DNA evidence from the trunk of his car matched the missing 23-year-old woman who was last seen with him six months ago walking out of a Shops at Legacy nightspot.
The new charge has Morris' mother more worried about what happened to Christina.
"It lets me know for sure...that was she was sexually assaulted too," she said.
Allen Police will not release any information about the latest charge, which is expected to go before a grand jury on Thursday. It is believed to be unrelated to the Morris investigation.
The new charge is a second degree felony and comes with a $100,000 bond. His bond remains at $1,000,000 for the aggravated kidnapping charge, despite an attempt by his lawyers to have his bond reduced in January.
Morris has still not been located.
