GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) - In an attempt to escape Grand Prairie police, a suspect drove into a Dallas County Lake.

Grand Prairie Police say they tried to pull the unidentified man over because they thought he had narcotics. The suspect took off and led police across city lines in Dallas, where Dallas police joined the chase. The suspect let officers through West Dallas, into Oak Cliff and then back towards Grand Prairie.

His last destination was Mountain Creek Lake, where he drove his truck onto a boat ramp and ultimately into the water to elude police. He was trying to throw what police believe were narcotics into the water. Police arrested two suspects at the scene and said they recovered both narcotics and a weapon from the water.
