LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) -- Authorities in Louisiana have arrested a 22-year-old man suspected in the murder of a Lewisville man last week.

Demico Stanley was arrested without incident in New Orleans, where police believe he fled following the murder.

A Capital Murder warrant was issued for Stanley in the murder of Richard Myles, 27.

Myles was found deceased in his apartment at 248 East Southwest Parkway on April 7 just after 7 p.m. The victim's two-year-old son was also in the apartment, but was unharmed.

Police say Stanley and Adrian Quigley, 23, went into Myles' apartment and exchanged gunfire with the resident. Myles was killed, and Quigley was wounded.

Quigley, a documented member of the Crips gang, turned himself in to officers at the Lewisville Police Department.

Stanley remained at large, while the vehicle used to flee the scene was recovered in Teague, Texas, approximately 100 miles south of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Stanley is currently awaiting extradition in the Orleans Parish County Jail.
