FORT WORTH(CBSDFW.COM) - Police have arrested 23-year-old Lendon Lee Adams for the murder of a truck driver early Thursday morning at the QT at Bryant Irvin Road and Oakbend Trail.

After seeing Adams' car on surveillance video, homicide detectives tracked him down in Parker County and Adams  voluntarily agreed to be interviewed.

As a result of the interview with Adams his vehicle was seized and a search warrant was obtained to search for evidence linking Adams to the murder. Inside his white Ford Mustang detectives found a Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a Colt .380 semi-automatic handgun. Three spent cartridge casings were in the passenger side.

Preliminary ballistic tests performed by Fort Worth Police Department Crime Lab indicated the casings recovered from the passenger compartment of the tractor rig were fired from the 9mm Glock handgun recovered from Adams' Mustang.

Adams is currently being held in the Fort Worth jail until formal charges are accepted by the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office.
