DUNCANVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) – A video camera outside of David Silva's home captured a crash, which depicts a speeding problem on East Cherry Street in Duncanville.

A person hit Silva's new SUV while it was parked on the street and took off causing $7000 in damages.

According to Silva, this was not the first time this happened as he had another car totaled two months ago parked on the same street.

Silva said speeding is such a problem on East Cherry Street that he recorded videos of speeding traffic even before his two cars were hit.

Silva's wife said it's too dangerous to let their children play outside.

"When we go to the store, go to school, it's scary just getting out of our car sometimes," said resident Julie Salazar. "I wait until there's no cars because they don't pay attention. They drive so fast and it's a neighborhood with kids."

As of now, there is no explanation as to why drivers feel the need to speed on East Cherry Street, but Silva hopes his security camera video will finally get some attention.
