BLUE RIDGE (CBS11) — A newborn baby is among the three reported fatalities from Saturday's tornadoes in rural Collin County.

The two-day-old girl, according to neighbors, was inside a mobile home in Blue Ridge with her parents and three other children when a suspected EF-0 tornado tossed the home nearly 100 feet off its foundation.

Debralee King had come outside after the storm passed to check on her horses, when she heard a scream coming from across the street

"At first I didn't realize what was going on," she said. "I thought they were glad the storm was over."

The baby's father, injured and bleeding, had one request for his neighbor – to take his baby to the hospital.

King took the injured infant and quickly drove into town.

The father then ran back inside his home to rescue his wife who was trapped inside.

With the help of neighbors, the man pulled his wife out of the house. She broke her leg and arm, according to neighbors, and was taken to the hospital.

The relief of pulling her to safety, however, vanished with the news their newborn baby had died.

"Just horrible," King said, "just horrible."
