50 years ago today, our TV lives changed for the first time
The five year mission began for Captain James T. Kirk, Spock, McCoy and the rest of the cast of the Starship Enterprise. Star Trek debuted on this date in 1966.
It only lasted 3 years.
Name another series that has had such an impact on the next 50 years, beyond just television.
