DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A man who was accused of cutting three of his neighbors at an east Oak Cliff home on Monday night is now in custody after a police standoff that lasted about six hours. The incident started just after 9:00 p.m. when police were called to the 2800 block of East Prosperity Avenue, between Sunnyvale Street and Bonnie View Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the three victims with minor injuries. One of the people had been stabbed while the other two people were simply cut. All of them are expected to fully recover.

However, the suspect refused to come out of the house. Authorities set up a perimeter around the location and called a SWAT team to the scene. There were sounds of explosions as officers shot flash-bang devices and several canisters of tear gas into the building.

The suspect eventually gave up at about 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, nearly six hours after the standoff began. Authorities have not said what charges the man will now face. His name has not yet been released.

Police believe that this might have been related to some sort of neighborhood dispute.
