DALLAS (CBSDFW) - The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a trade with the Buffalo Bills for quarterback Matt Cassel.

According to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, the 'wide landscape search' has come to the Cowboys getting Cassel. Dallas had been working out other potential candidates to back-up Brandon Weeden on Tuesday, but were able to make a move to get an even better option in Cassel.

Cassel is in his 11th season out of USC. He has 96 career touchdown passes over 90 games.

The Bills and Cowboys will exchange 2017 late round picks to complete the trade.
