SMU Visitor Reports Sexual Assault At Student Center Theatre

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — A woman visiting Southern Methodist University reported a sexual assault to SMU police Saturday evening, according to a campus alert email.
The visitor said she was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, who is not affiliated with SMU, around 7 p.m. at the Hughes-Trigg Student Center Theatre in the 3100 block of Dyer Street, the email said. Neither person involved in the alleged assault were SMU students.
The suspect was described in the email as "a 27-year-old white male, about 6-feet tall and weighing 235 pounds, with tanned skin and short, brown hair."
The SMU Police Department is investigating.
