LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) — More than a half of dozen small businesses along Mill Street in Lewisville suffered damage Sunday.

Business owners swore it was a tornado; and while no tornado has been officially confirmed by the National Weather Service, restaurant owner Tommy Perrigo said he knows what he saw when he looked out the backdoor of his restaurant, "A piece of aluminum started coming at me and at the same time my privacy fence just snapped over," he said. "My heart started pounding. I came running back into the restaurant yelling 'tornado, tornado'." The storm tore off shingles, broke windows, and punched a hole in the siding at the Mill Street Dinner. Perrigo said he will also need a new electrical box before he can reopen. Robert Krause owner of Krause's Automotive said he may need a whole new building after the storm knocked down a cinder block wall and tore off his roof. "It's not something you are really prepared for," he said. "I guess God is just raising the difficulty bar a little bit."
