Sketch Released Of Man Who Shot At Officer

GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) - Grand Prairie Police have released a sketch of an attempted capital murder suspect.
Police say the man shot at an Fort Worth police officer who was in uniform, but driving his personal vehicle on his way to work on Saturday, September 24 around 3:20 a.m.
Grand Prairie Police say the officer passed by a vehicle burglary in progress in the 3500 block of Sedona Drive.
The Fort Worth officer pulled down the road to call 911 and report the burglary.
At that point, Grand Prairie Police say the suspect got in his car and drove up to the officer, got out and confronted him.
The officer then got out of his vehicle and identified himself as a police officer.
Police say the suspect then got back into his car and as he drove off, he pulled out a gun and shot at the officer at least twice, striking the officer's vehicle.
The officer returned fire and possibly struck the suspect car in the driver door area or to the back of the car, perhaps the trunk.
The suspect's car is describe as a 2004-2008 black Nissan Altima with light tinted windows.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early to mid 20's, 5'7" and 160-180 pounds with a short fade hair style.
Crime Stoppers (972-988-TIPS) is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
