Silver Alert Issued For Missing Senior Includes Fort Worth

MONTGOMERY COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) — The silver alert issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for Standley Paul Short has been discontinued as of 8:35 p.m., according to Texas Department of Public Safety.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office issued a silver alert for missing senior Standley Paul Short on Sunday that includes Fort Worth.

Short was last seen around 1:15 p.m. in Montgomery County driving a 2012 Cadillac Escalade White Diamond with Texas license plate BL16687. Officials believe his disappearance poses a threat to his health and safety.

Short is described in the alert as a white, 80-year-old male. He is 6' 2" and 145 pounds with gray/brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a white, button-down long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a black belt and black shoes. He is missing half of his nose.

Short was diagnosed with a cognitive impairment, the alert says.
