"At this time, we have five victims that were located inside this area here where crime scene is going through. Out of these five victims, I will tell you that three of them have non life-threatening injuries and we got two that are critical at this point," Calzada said.

The department's gang unit has taken the lead on this investigation and will be assisted by state and federal partners.

"Help us. I'll tell you right now the police department can't do this on our own," Calzada implored. "We need our citizens to partner with us. We need our citizens to be right by our side and if they continue to do that we're gonna get through it together, but man we're asking for your help."

So far no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.

Homeland Security was also called to the scene.
