Shooting Victim Recovering After Suspected Road Rage Incident In Richardson

RICHARDSON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Richardson Police are trying to identify the person who shot a driver Thursday afternoon in a possible road rage incident.

It happened in the northbound frontage road of U.S. 75 near Collins Road.

The victim stopped his car on DART train tracks.

He told police around 3:20 p.m. a car stopped in front of his, a guy got out, approached his window and fired a shot - hitting him in his lower body, then drove away.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a non life-threatening injury.

This shooting investigation delayed DART's red and orange lines in that area.

Richardson Police released the following description of suspects and the suspects' vehicle:

Suspect Vehicle: Older model gray Nissan Sentra with body damage on the rear passenger door.

Suspect #1 (Driver): 16-18 years old, Hispanic male, 6'00", 215-230 pounds, round face, short dark hair ("spiky hair" with a high fade on the sides), and he was wearing a white t-shirt, black puffer style vest, and black sweatpants.

Suspect #2 (Shooter): 16-18 years old, Hispanic male, 6'00", 115 pounds, thin, short dark hair (bowl cut with bangs in the front), and he was wearing a multi-colored tie dye shirt, maroon or red khaki style pants. Suspect #2 was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol.

Suspect #3 (Passenger): 16-18 years old, Hispanic male, very thin, thin face, with short "spiky" hair.
