Shooting Outside Twin Peaks Leaves One Dead

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - An argument outside a Twin Peaks restaurant in Mesquite led to gunfire that left one man dead and another wounded early Saturday, police said.

It happened just after 1:15 a.m. at the Twin Peaks located on LBJ Freeway just north of U.S. Highway 80.

Police said two groups of people had left the restaurant and were arguing when shots rang out. Two men were taken to local hospitals. Ahmand Rashad Williams, 30, of Terrell later died. The other man was treated and released.

Mesquite Police crime scene investigators were called to the location.

The investigation is ongoing.
