WACO (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — A former Fort Hood soldier killed in last month's Planned Parenthood shootings in Colorado will be remembered at services in Central Texas.

Ke'Arre Stewart was being laid to rest Monday in Waco. A service was scheduled at Carver Park Baptist Church, followed by internment at Oakwood Cemetery.

A memorial service for Stewart, who died in the November 27 gunfire, will be held December 13 at the Bellmead Civic Center.

The 29-year-old Waco native and father of two was among three people killed when a gunman opened fire at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Nine other people were wounded. The suspect remains in custody.

Stewart graduated from Waco's La Vega High School in 2004. He served in Iraq and was later stationed in Colorado, where Stewart remained after leaving the Army.
