Northbound Loop 12 back open in Irving after semi-truck hits bridge

1 lane open on northbound Loop 12 and Irving Blvd. after big rig hits bridge

IRVING – Lanes of Loop 12 are back open after an 18-wheeler hit the Irving Boulevard bridge, prompting a partial highway closure Wednesday night.

It happened after 7:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Loop 12.

The Texas Department of Transportation said an engineer inspected the damage and determined it was safe.

Irving police said no injuries were reported.
