SAGINAW (CBSDFW.COM) Portions of North Loop 820, near Business 287, are closed after the driver of tractor-trailer crashed through a barrier, leaving part of a semi shattered on a ground-level embankment and another part dangling from the overpass.

Two lanes of westbound North Loop 820 have been shutdown as crews work to get the smashed 18-whlleer off the highway and access damage to the bridge near Old Decatur Road.

The front of the trailer, which is attached to the cab, is smashed in the embankment between the eastbound and westbound lanes, while the back of the trailer is resting on the bridge guardrail.

Workers with MedStar EMS say four people were injure in the crash, one of them seriously.

A wrecker had been called to remove the 18-wheeler, but as of just before 2 p.m. that task hadn't even began. The semi is owned by Texas Lone Star Materials, Inc.

There is no word on how long the lanes on westbound 820, that has traffic backed up from Old Decatur Road Blue Mound Road/FM 156, will be closed.
