DALLAS – Searchers recovered the body of a man at Mountain Creek Lake on Saturday after authorities responded to reports of two people being swept away, according to authorities.

The search continues for a child, said Jason Evans, a spokesman for Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Dallas Fire-Rescue, Dallas police and the Game Warden's Office have been investigating the 911 call that came in at 1:37 p.m. near 2779 Mountain Creek Parkway

"Reports indicated a child was swept under while fishing in a creek in the area," Evans said. "The boy's father jumped in to rescue him and was also swept under, and neither of them resurfaced."

The father's body was recovered about 5 p.m.  The Medical Examiner's Office will confirm his identity and the cause of death, Evans said.

"Efforts to find the child continued until approximately 7 p.m., at which point the search was terminated due to the diminishing light conditions," Evans said. "Efforts will resume (Sunday) morning by DPD's Dive Team."

CBS News Texas will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
