Search On For Suspects In Shooting; Robbery In The Colony

THE COLONY (CBSDFW.COM) -- A suspect in a black sedan got out and fired several shots at a parked car during a robbery in The Colony Tuesday, according to police.
Three people were in a car traveling from a Valero gas station to the Avana Stonebriar Apartments nearby when they noticed the black sedan following them.
After pulling into a parking space, they saw someone in that car pull out a gun. Police say three walked up to the car. One had a gun and one had a knife.
Police say the suspect with the knife demanded money and anything else they had with them.
Police say two of the victims were pistol-whipped and one of the suspects fired four shots into their car, a light colored four-door sedan, but nobody was hit by the bullets.
The three suspects took off with a wallet and cell phone belonging to the victims. The victims' are not sure what else he may have taken.
One of the victims who was pistol-whipped walked away from the scene.
Police are searching area hospitals looking for that victim.
