SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Officials at a San Antonio university say authorities are investigating a report of an armed individual spotted on campus.

Margaret Garcia, a spokeswoman for the University of the Incarnate Word, said in a statement Tuesday that multiple agencies have responded to assist searching the campus and surrounding areas.

Garcia says the university has advised students and others "to take caution if on campus" and that anybody not on campus should stay away while authorities search the area.

The university tweeted that "no suspect has been found to support the initial report. The campus is not in lockdown."

The school is the largest Catholic university in Texas and has about 9,200 students.
