Rookies Dak And Zeke Keep Cowboys in 'Feast Mode'

ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) - Ezekiel Elliott, the rookie who leads the NFL in rushing, notes with a wink that he thinks its flattering that opponents — most recently the defeated Redskins on Thanksgiving — mock and mimic his "Feed Me'' hand motions.
But after the 31-26 victory to propel the Dallas Cowboys to 10-1, it was fellow rookie star Dak Prescott who borrowed from his buddy.
"I'm ready to go get some food," grinned the QB, hoping his postgame presser would be a short one.
The presser was short, but Prescott's impact on this team looks long-term.
His grasp on Tony Romo's old job tightened on Thanksgiving not just according to the numbers (Dak accounted for a passing TD and a rushing TD and was 17 of 24 for 195 yards in the air with eight carries for 39 yards on the ground).
He missed on some throws that kept his stats from being as gaudy as those of Washington QB's Kirk Cousins (41 of 53 passing for his third 400-yard game) … but he overcame subtle errors with huge plays.
"Over and over again, at critical moments, he came up with big plays," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said of Prescott. "Again and again and again, he just played winning football for us. He did the things that winning quarterbacks do.''
And the Cowboys' rookie-led hunger for success -- I like to call it -- "Feast Mode'' -- continues.
