Romo's Back, But Cowboys D Hurting

IRVING, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) — Set to the eclectic musical trio of Rush, Drake and 2Chainz, the Cowboys took to the practice field on Sunday likely expecting to play in front of a raucous AT&T Stadium crowd against the Saints on Sunday night - and fully expecting Tony Romo to be ready.
As expected after his "Romo Wednesday,'' Dallas QB Romo was back at practice Thursday as a full participant. But the middle of the Dallas defense has injury problems as three starting-caliber players missed the Thursday workout at Valley Ranch.
Defensive tackles Henry Melton (strained right hamstring) and defensive tackle Terrell McClain (concussion) joined linebacker Rolando McClain (strained groin) among the day's inactives. Justin Durant is back from injury to help the linebackers and the team hopes Anthony Spencer (coming off a year-long recovery from microscopic knee surgery can help soon).
Cornerback Mo Claiborne, in the middle of early-week controversy as he went AWOL from Valley Ranch when told of his demotion on Tuesday, was again back at practice for the second straight day working with the second team.
