Jason Green is a fantasy football enthusiast.

"I do alright… I placed top 3 in the last couple years. Won last year," says Green.

So, he was really looking forward to attending the National Fantasy Football Convention in Las Vegas and meeting his favorite Cowboy Tony Romo until it was abruptly cancelled.

"I couldn't believe it… fall apart in the last second," said Green.

We're used to seeing Romo on Sundays playing for the NFL. In this case, he's against them. His company is suing the NFL, after the league's actions for them to cancel the National Convention.

More than 100 NFL players planned to attend but, "The NFL started calling & telling the players, if you appear at this event & if you fulfill the terms under your contract with the NFFC, you'll be fined & suspended from the league," said Julie Pettit of the Pettit Law Firm.

The NFL disputes that saying,  "We did speak to the NFL Players Association to remind it of the long-standing polices that prohibit players from participating in an event at a casino or sponsored by a casino."

"I can't talk on behalf of Tony," says Pettit. "What I can tell you is, he's a part owner of this company. He's been involved in this company from day 1. This idea, this fantasy football event was his brainchild. So, for him to be involved at this level, obviously, he's expressed his disappointment. And while I can't speak for him now, obviously, he's aware of the case and the company has decided to move forward with the lawsuit."

Will this be a distraction for the Cowboys as they head to training camp next week?

"Distractions are distractions," says Stephen Jones. "They're talked about, put in front of players, put in front of coaches, put in front of us – now the focus can be where it needs to be, which is on the field & that's getting better, & obviously working toward the goal of winning a championship."
