Romo Discredits The 'Romo Curse'
DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) -- Tony Romo is an easy target. The Cowboys quarterback has attended countless games this offseason, from SMU basketball games to Los Angeles Clippers games to the Final Four.
And the common thread? Every team has lost -- or at least, that's the perception.
A San Antonio Spurs fan even went as far as petitioning the White House to keep the Cowboys quarterback away from San Antonio for the remainder of the NBA Playoffs.
But is the "Romo curse" real?
"Well let's see. I went to Duke; Duke won that game. I went to the Thunder game; they won that game. I think we're stretching a little bit," said Romo to Ben & Skin on 105.3 The Fan.
Romo was seen in Los Angeles at the Clippers game, and the Clippers did lose. But Romo was actually in LA to support the Thunder and Kevin Durant, someone Romo admires and has become friends with.
The polarizing figure has even been criticized for attending a number of events with head coach Jason Garrett. But Romo views the social events as opportunities to connect with his head coach and staff.
"Your ability to connect with your players and coaches, that's important," said Romo. "When you've played the game as long as I have, you understand that relationships matter a lot. I think that's important for success for an organization and a football team."
We understand that Tony, but what about the #RomoCurse!? You supported SMU, and they lost in the NIT Finals!

Romo picked a No. 7 seed to win the NCAA Tournament -- and they did. So let's put the "Romo curse" to rest...At least until his next public outing.
