Romo Delivers Once Again

NEW YORK (105.3 THE FAN) -- Trailing 28-24 with 3 minutes to go in the game, Tony Romo was 80 yards away from a win in exceedingly hostile territory. Factoring in the Eagles win earlier in the day in conjunction with an already crowded NFC playoff landscape, one could argue that at that critical 4th quarter moment, the Cowboys entire season hung in the balance.
For the highest rated 4th-quarter QB in NFL history, it was merely business as usual. In fact, when the dust had settled on yet another Romo masterpiece of a drive, the only question was whether or not he left too much time on the clock.
He's 34. His back is broken. He's unable to participate fully in practices leading up to games. He's lost some mobility. He's potentially one vicious hit away from retirement. Yet there he was, standing tall in the comfy confines of a beautiful pocket delivering bullets that moved his team down the field with relative ease until finally finding Dez Bryant in the end zone for the game winner.
So once again, the Romo haters were silenced. Not a peep. Now let's see if he can survive a short week and do it all again Thursday in the biggest game of the season.
