Robbery Leads To Shots Fired By Police In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police responded to an aggravated robbery early Sunday morning at 7014 North Stemmons Freeway.

Police said the suspect was no longer at the location when officers arrived.

Witnesses were able to provide a description of the suspect and officers began searching surrounding areas.

Police said an officer located an individual who matched the description of the suspect at the 1700 block of Chattanooga Place.

According to police, the officer confronted the suspect, and the suspect proceeded to point a handgun at the officer.

Police said the officer fired at the suspect.

The suspect fled on foot, and there was no evidence that the suspect was struck by the officer's bullet according to police.

The officer was not injured.

This investigation is still ongoing and the suspect is still at large.
