MIDLOTHIAN (CBSDFW.COM) - More than six months after the murder of fitness instructor Missy Bevers, Midlothian Police are still trying to figure out who killed her.
The department announced Thursday two anonymous donors have contributed $15,000 each to the reward fund for information leading to an arrest, raising the reward total to $50,000.
In a statement to CBS 11 News, Bevers' husband, Brandon Bevers, expressed gratitude for the increased reward, saying: "We are extremely pleased with the additional reward money, and pray the notion that an individual with any knowledge surrounding the individual responsible for Missy's murder will come forward to receive this money."
Anyone with information can contact the tip line at 972-775-7624. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by contacting Ellis County Crime Stoppers at 972-937-PAYS (7297).
Experienced homicide detectives from other departments and agencies are reviewing the Bevers case and trying to help put together pieces of the mystery.
It was on April 18, 2016 that Bevers was found murdered inside the Creekside Church of Christ. She had gone to the church in the early morning hours to set up for a Camp Gladiator workout class.
The body of the 45-year-old was found less than an hour later by one of the fitness class participants. The video does not show the mother of three beaten and stabbed to death.
