Reward For Info Offered After Mesquite Girl Shot In Face
MESQUITE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - An unsolved shooting in Mesquite earlier this month now has reward money involved.
According to Mesquite Police Department, 18-year-old Marisol Bucio was leaving work on January 8th and was turning into a parking lot onto North Mesquite Drive near Town Centre Blvd - when she was mysteriously shot in the face.
Lieutenant Bill Hedgpeth says the occupant of a passing vehicle (identified on surveillance video) may have fired the shot that struck the victim. Police say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a large 4-door sedan, possibly a Cadillac.
Hedgpeth says Bucio is recovering from the gunshot wound and that Doctors had to remove a bullet from behind her eye.
Oak Farms Dairy has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person responsible for the assault.
Anyone with information is asked to call Mesquite Police at 972-285-6336
