COPPELL (AP) - Retail gasoline prices have dropped by a nickel across Texas this week to settle at $2.38 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the nationwide price at the pump held steady at $2.62 per gallon.

Texarkana has the cheapest gasoline this week statewide at an average $2.27 per gallon. Drivers in El Paso face the most expensive gasoline in Texas at an average $2.59 per gallon.

AAA officials say the relatively low price of crude continues to provide consumers with significant savings, along with an oversupply in the oil market.
