PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Friday night a Pizza Hut employee remained behind bars. His supervisor was shot and killed. CBS 11 News has uncovered new information about a shooting we first reported as breaking news Thursday night at 10.

The two people involved worked together at a Pizza Hut in Plano, at Parker Road and Custer Road.

There was allegedly some type of dispute between the two men. It ended across the street from the restaurant, with gunfire and one person dead.

Ali-Reza Nikmanesh is the Pizza Hut worker now in jail, accused of killing his work supervisor, Kevin Murray.

Murray, 36, died after being shot several times.

The shooting happened just outside a Subway Deli. Michael Vernon and his daughter were about to grab dinner there.

It just so happens Vernon is a Captain with the Plano Fire Department. He tried to help Murray with CPR, and then realized the accused shooter was sitting just steps away.

"My first question was 'has anybody helped him yet?' My second question, 'where's the shooter?' I didn't know where he was and nobody identified the shooter," Vernon recalled. "And a guy sitting on the ground next to him says, 'I did it.'"

Vernon told CBS 11 News that Nikmanesh said the gun was in his car. Now knowing who was possibly responsible, two other people from inside the deli watched Nikmanesh, while the fire captain tried to save Murray's life.

Pizza Hut President David Gibbs released the following statement regarding the situation:

"There are no words that can express the grief and sadness we feel as a result of this tragedy. This hit us all very hard. Kevin was a beloved member of the Pizza Hut family and an outstanding person and team member. He had worked his way up from restaurant general manager to Area Coach in a short time through hard work and always doing the right thing. Obviously, our employees and their safety is TOP priority for us. We are fully cooperating with local law enforcement as part of their investigation. Our sincerest heartfelt sympathies go out to Kevin's family, friends and our fellow team members affected by this senseless tragedy."

Nikmanesh is charged with murder and is being held in the Collin County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
