Residents Without Water After Water Main Break

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Nearly a dozen homes near Lake Arlington are without water due to a water main break.

The homes affected are on the 6400 block of Shorewood Drive.

It has not been confirmed if the magnitude 2.4 Earthquake that rippled through the area around 3:30am Saturday morning caused the problem.

One resident said that he heard his dogs barking loudly around 4 a.m.

He woke up to check on them and saw the water rushing down the street.

Arlington police officers asked residents with parked cars along the curbs to move them over to the next block or put them inside garages.

The City of Arlington Public Works Department has dispatched crews to work on the water restoration.

There is not an estimated time when this will be completed.
