Residents Shocked By Murder In Secluded, Colleyville Neighborhood

COLLEYVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) – A woman was found dead Tuesday in a secluded neighborhood in Colleyville.

Neighbors who live on the dead end street lined by about a dozen homes were shocked.

"Stunned, really stunned. It's unusual for this kind of neighborhood, to have even any kind of break-in," said neighbor Pedram Pahlavan.

Other neighbors like Pahlavan said they can't remember any crime in the area. They're baffled by how a killer could come and go without raising suspicion on a street where there's only one way in.

"It's very hard to find this place. We have to give explicit directions to our guests," said Pahlavan.

As night fell, a somber reminder of the grisly discovery: a hearse carrying the victim's body and a truck towing her car.

Colleyville police haven't identified the victim yet, only saying they think she was working in the home alone when she was slain.

Another came over to the home to take care of the plants at 11:30 a.m. and discovered the body after letting herself in. She said there was blood on the floor.

Police said the victim suffered some obvious trauma but the medical examiner has yet to determine an official cause of death.

A source told CBS 11 News that a witness may have seen a man leaving the home in a white van shortly before the body was found. Police said the witness is cooperating with their investigation.
