DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Fire Rescue was joined by Texas Game Wardens as they searched Lake Ray Hubbard Thursday for a missing boater.

A DFR spokesperson said rescuers headed out to the lake after receiving a 911 call saying no one had seen the 50-year-old man since he took his boat out on the lake Wednesday.

Rescuers used sonar and ground searches along the shoreline with most efforts focusing around the general area (1/2 a mile South of Highway 66) where the boat was found capsized.

The man only fishes in a certain area near the Highway 66 bridge. Additionally, his family expressed their concern as he never stays out on the water very long.

The missing man's vehicle and trailer were also found near the Highway 66 bridge.

The Dallas Police Department Air One Helicopter and scuba teams joined the search before it ended at sundown.

They will resume their search Friday morning.
