Woman Dies In Fort Worth House Fire

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A woman has died after a fire swept through her house in Fort Worth Monday evening.

Paula Jean Hopkins, 68, was pronounced dead at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

The call came in around 6:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of Castaneda Circle.

Firefighters were on the scene within five minutes, but the house was already consumed by flames, a spokesman said.

The firefighters had to evacuate due to concerns about the structural integrity of the building.

Investigators were working to determine what caused the fire.
