FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A body has been recovered at Benbrook Lake. Fort Worth firefighters were back on the water this morning – looking for a missing teenager.

The unidentified 16-year-old was swimming Wednesday, about 200 yards south of a boat ramp, when he was seen going under.

The teenager, who we do know is a O.D. Wyatt High School student, never resurfaced. The Fort Worth Independent School District is making counselors available for students at the school today.

An emergency call was placed after people in the area jumped in the water but couldn't find the boy.

Divers had searched until it got too dark Wednesday night. They hadn't been back out on the lake very long Thursday morning before the discovery was made.

First-responders have not confirmed the identity of the person found and will wait for the Tarrant County Medical Examiner to officially verify the name of the individual.
