ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - The Mansfield Independent School District confirmed Monday afternoon that a small fire had broken out at Timberview High School, located at 7700 S. Watson Road in Arlington.

According to a statement released by the district, "The Arlington Fire Department quickly responded to the alarm and discovered a small fire in an iPad technology room where construction is ongoing." They said the fire alarm sounded at about 11:30 a.m. and all students and staff were safely evacuated from the building.

From Chopper 11, students could be seen sitting outside of the school. Several fire engines were on the scene as well. A fire hose could be seen stretching from one of the fire engines toward one of the entrances of the school. No smoke was visible.

According to the Arlington Fire Department, construction workers created sparks that landed on cardboard that was on the floor. The cardboard ignited a small fire in -- and under -- the floor. The fire was contained to one classroom.

School officials said students and staff began returning into the building Monday afternoon.

"The safety of our students and staff will always remain our top priority," said MISD officials. "Mansfield ISD will continue investigating the details of what happened."

No injuries were reported.
