Report: Cowboys To Use Franchise Tag On Bryant

According to reports, the Dallas Cowboys will use the franchise tag provision on WR Dez Bryant on Monday.  The deadline to use the franchise tag on any player is Monday afternoon.  The franchise has been in talks about a longterm extension with Bryant but progress has been slow on that front.

The 26 year old receiver was at the center of multiple reports about a possible video existing of him involved in an incident as the reason that contract talks may be going slowly between the two sides. No new information has come out about the video or its existence.

This past season Bryant caught 88 passes for 1,320 yards and 16 touchdowns. In his five years in the NFL the 26 year old has 381 catches for 5,426 yards and 56 touchdowns all with the Cowboys.
