IRVING (105.3 The Fan) - Mo Claiborne has been on the back burner while the Cowboys attempted to hammer out an agreement with another cornerback in the form of Eagles free agent Nolan Carroll. But instead, for now, Dallas' cornerback signing is indeed the  26-year-old Claiborne, sources tell 105.3 The Fan.

The Cowboys selected Claiborne with the sixth overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft and traded up to do so. When healthy, Claiborne is a solid starter — but the reason he's only getting a one-year deal (reportedly worth $3 million) is in part due to his frequent injury absences.

Claiborne's signing doesn't necessarily preclude Dallas from continuing talks regarding Carroll and others.
