Rangers Wallop Mariners 14-1

ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - The Texas Rangers hit five home runs in route to a 14-1 win over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday afternoon.
The Rangers have now won five games in a row and lead the AL West by 8 1/2 games with a record of 80-54.
Texas was led by the bat of Rougned Odor, who hit two home runs to go along with five RBI. Odor has a team leading 27 home runs.
Martin Perez got the win for Texas, while Felix Hernandez took the loss for Seattle.
Perez threw six shutout innings, while striking out four.
Hernandez allowed six runs in only four innings of work. Most of the damage came from a five-run 4th inning, capped off by a grand slam by Carlos Gomez.
Beltre and Rua also homered in the game for Texas.
The Rangers will begin a four-game series in Seattle on Labor Day for the final meetings between the two clubs this season.
Texas is off Thursday, before welcoming the Houston Astros for a three-game series beginning Friday night.
