Rangers Sign Colby Lewis For 2015

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Texas Rangers have re-signed starting pitcher Colby Lewis to a one-year deal. MLB.com reports that the deal is worth $4 million.
Lewis has spent four seasons with the Rangers in his latest stint with the team.
Last season, the right-hander went 10-14 with a 5.18 ERA in 29 starts. He led the team in starts and innings last year, tying Yu Darvish for the team lead in wins.
"I'm very grateful that JD & front office want me back. I'm pumped to put the Rangers uniform back on; it's where I want to be," said Lewis on Thursday.
The 35-year-old missed the entire 2013 season after undergoing an unprecedented hip procedure for a major league pitcher -- a right hip resurfacing surgery.
The team also announced that it has re-signed LHP Michael Kirkman to minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training. He was non-tendered earlier this week.
Texas' major league roster now sits at 38 players.
