Rangers Reveal 2014 Schedule, Decreased Ticket Prices

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Texas Rangers announced all ticket purchasing and pricing information for the 2014 season on Thursday. The official 2014 schedule, including all game times, was also released.

Overall, the club has reduced the gate price of 94 percent of tickets by 4 to 19 percent, while expanding 'dynamic pricing' to all seats.

Individual tickets, excluding opening day, will go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1 at the First Base Box Office, at TexasRangers.com, and by phone at 972-RANGERS.

Prices will vary game-to-game using dynamic pricing. The system, which was utilized on a select basis in 2013, adjusts ticket prices based on "market demand and factors, such as pitching matchups, team performance, opponent, weather, and day of week," the club says.

Texas also decreased the number of 'Premier Games' from 36 in 2013 to 28 in 2014. Prices for these home games include marquee matchups against Boston, New York, and Atlanta and feature elevated ticket prices.

*Premier Games for 2014: March 31; April 1; 12; May 9-11; 17; June 7; 25; 28; July 11-13; 26; 28-30; August 15-16; 23; September 6; 9-10; 12-14; 26-27.

The club will host an "Opening Day Online Ticket Opportunity" beginning Feb. 3, in which fans can register for the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets to the club's opener on March 31 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
