ARLINGTON (AP) - The Texas Rangers have recalled Anthony Ranaudo from Triple-A Round Rock to start their series finale against the Los Angeles Angels.

Texas added Ranaudo to its 25-man roster before Wednesday afternoon's game.

Right-handed reliever Phil Klein was optioned to Round Rock after Tuesday night's game. Klein has a 7.71 ERA in six appearances this season.

Ranaudo was making his debut for Texas, pitching in place of injured starter Derek Holland.

The Rangers acquired Ranaudo from Boston in a trade last January. He made his major league debut last season with the Red Sox, with seven starts over four stints.
