Rangers Recall Martinez, Option Spencer Patton To Round Rock

ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) - Prior to their Thursday afternoon game with the Toronto Blue Jays, the Texas Rangers announced the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Nick Martinez from Round Rock and optioned right-handed pitcher Spencer Patton to Triple-A Round Rock.
Martinez (7-7, 4.09 ERA) will be in the bullpen for today's series finale against the Blue Jays.
According to the Rangers, Patton has a 9.00 ERA (24 ER/24.0 IP) in 27 relief appearances over three stints with Texas this season: May 4-14, June 7-10, and June 25-August 26.
