ARLINGTON (AP) - The Rangers have promoted three people from their operations department to assistant general manager after Thad Levine's departure to become Minnesota's general manager.

Texas general manager Jon Daniels announced the promotions Monday of Josh Boyd, Mike Daly and Jayce Tingler. All have been with the team more than a decade.

Levine was with the Rangers for 11 seasons and was the only assistant GM when he left earlier this month.

Boyd will oversee professional scouting and Pacific Rim operations; Daly will be responsible for Major League operations and international scouting; and Tingler will be in charge of player development.

Tingler was on manager Jeff Banister's staff the past two seasons. Josh Bonifay was hired to take over that role, which includes being the team's outfield and baserunning coach.
