Rangers Hire Tony Beasley As 3B Coach To Round Out Staff

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Texas Rangers have hired Tony Beasley as third base coach to finalize manager Jeff Banister's staff.

Beasley has spent the last four seasons in the Washington Nationals organization as a minor league co-field coordinator (2014), Triple-A manager (2012-13), and Double-A manager (2011).

Beasley worked with Banister, who served as the bench coach, from 2007-2010 as the Pirates' third base coach and baserunning instructor.

Beasley was named Baseball America's Double-A Manager of the Year in 2004.
