ARLINGTON (AP) - Texas Rangers catcher Robinson Chirinos came out of Tuesday night's game with a bruised right hand after being hit by a pitch.

Chirinos was hit in the first inning by Chicago White Sox starter Jeff Samardzjia. Chirinos stayed in the game defensively for two more innings, but Carlos Corporan pinch hit for him in the third.

Corporan took over behind the plate the rest of the game.

The Rangers said X-rays on Chirinos' hand were negative, and that he would be reevaluated Wednesday.
