ARLINGTON, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) - The Texas Rangers announced Friday that they have agreed to terms with infielder/DH Mitch Moreland on a one-year contract for the 2015 season.

Sources say that Moreland will be getting $2.95 million for the year and up to $25,000 in performance bonuses.

Moreland missed much of the 2014 season following reconstructive surgery on his left ankle.

Moreland batted .246 with 2 home runs and 23 RBI in 52 games, including 44 total starts at first base (22), designated hitter (20), and left field (2).  He owns a career .252 average with 65 home runs and 209 RBI over 494 major league games with Texas since his debut in 2010.
